Several organizations offer volunteering opportunities in Ghana.

  • Ikando This organisation probably has the largest range of volunteer and intern placements in Ghana.
  • Bluebells Pre-School International Teaching opportunities include free lodging
  • The Voluntary Workcamps Association of Ghana (VOLU) Organizes three-week volunteer development projects in Ghana. Volunteers pay for all travel costs, as well as a fee for room and board.
  • i-to-i This company provides logistical support for those wishing to do volunteer work in Ghana. Most projects last between 1 and 24 weeks. Volunteers must pay a placement fee and all of their expenses.
  • Geekcorps The Geekcorps sends volunteers with technical skills to developing countries, where they assist with computer training and infrastructure development. Ghana was the first country to receive Geekcorps volunteers.
  • Peace Corps Ghana was the first country to receive Peace Corps volunteers.
