When a U.S. citizen is engaged to a Ghanaian, and they intend to live in America, the Ghanaian will require a U.S. visa. The easiest way to obtain one is for the U.S. citizen to file an I-129F petition from within the U.S. This is the first step in obtaining a K1 visa, which enables U.S. citizens to bring their foreign fiance(e)s to the United States in order to get married.
